Expectations for the Students:
1.  Respect & treat others they way you would want to be treated!
2. No talking while the teacher is teaching or while others are trying to listen.
3. Be Kind
4. Raise your hadn when you have a question or comment.
5. Behavior chart will be located in the front of the classroom.
For each time the student does not listen then they will have to flip their color.  Green Yellow or Red ( which is the worst).  The child can earn their way back from red to green by listening and helping with others throughtout the day.
At the end of the day, each student whose color is red, a note will be sent home to parents, explaining what happened and why his or her color is on red.

Parent Involvement:
Please make sure you are reading to your child every night for at least fifteen minutes!

Students will bring home a monthly Reading
Sheet to fill out as the reading is done
each day. You may send it back as soon as
the sheet is completed. It MUST be
returned by the first day of the new month.

Math Centers:  Students will also do some practice with the basic skills by playing math games during this center time.  It is also encouraged for the parent's to help with the guided practice at home with your child.

Computer Lab/ Library:  Each student will be given a few books each week to go home and read.  At the end of the story or book, the child might take an AR test on the book to build points.   After the class comes up with a number goal, then the class can enjoy an ICEA CREAM SUNDAY PARTY!!!!!

Each Friday, the students will be tested on their 15 spelling words! PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! :)

Here are some assignments the students are going to be working on in class on the smartboard..
